Differences between x64 drivers (XP - Vista - 7)

I'm new to be a 64bit user/programmer and I have a device for home
recording named TASCAM US-428 I've downloaded a 64bit driver from
their website which refuses to install under Win7/x64, complaining
that the signature cannot be verified.

I don't want to abandon that device, although it's development is
discontinued, that's why I have no hope to get an updated official
version. Is there a way to patch the binaries in a way to let them be
accepted or a way to cheat the installation process to get this driver
to work? It's an official download and I guess it wasn't if it didn't
work on earlier 64bit versions of the OS.

Thanks,
Hans
